Coffee with Jesus
Dear God, our loving and grace-filled Father, at this time we approach You with grateful and humble hearts. We recognize, Lord, that amidst the struggles and tribulations of life, our true blessing is in You.
Just like the apostle Paul taught us in Philippians 3-7.8, We desire to set aside all the things that keep us from You so that we can know more deeply the wonderful love and care You have for us.
Lord, we know that we often cling to fleeting things, seeking meaning and satisfaction in material possessions, earthly success, or human recognition.
However, we understand that these things are temporary and cannot fill the void in our hearts like Your presence he can. Help us to turn our eyes away from the things of this world and fix them on You, the author and finisher of our faith.
Right now, Sir, we place before You our desires, fears and concerns.
We know that You are a God who cares for us, who knows us intimately and who loves us unconditionally.
Just as the sun rises every morning, bringing with it a new opportunity for life and blessings, we ask that Your light Shine upon us, illuminating our path and filling our hearts with hope.
Help us to live each day according to Your will, confident that regardless of the circumstances around us, we are safe in Your arms.
May we find true joy in following You, leaving behind everything that prevents us from fully experiencing Your love and Your grace.
Just as the apostle Paul counted all things loss because of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, may we also value fellowship with you above all else.
May our hearts be filled with gratitude for everything you did for us...
and may we live lives that reflect Your glory and love for others around us. In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen.

What is Philippians and who wrote it?
Philippians is one of the letters written by the apostle Paul, found in the New Testament of the Bible. It was addressed to the church in Philippi, a city in Macedonia, around AD 62, while Paul was in prison in Rome.
In the letter, Paul expresses his gratitude to the Philippians for their financial support and spiritual encouragement.
He also encourages them to remain firm in their faith, to always rejoice in the Lord, and to live in unity and humility.
One of the best-known excerpts from the letter is Philippians 3:7-8, where Paul talks about counting all things as loss in comparison with the knowledge of Christ Jesus your Lord.
He shares how he abandoned his former confidence in his own achievements and righteousness to gain Christ and be found in him.
These words reflect the profound transformation that the encounter with Jesus brought about in Paul's life, leading him to consider all things in the world as insignificant in comparison to the supremacy of Christ.
The central message of Philippians is one of joy, gratitude, and trust in God, regardless of circumstances.
Paul encourages the Philippians to focus on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, and to find their strength in Christ.
For us, this letter offers a source of inspiration and encouragement to face life's challenges with faith and trust in God, reminding them of the unconditional love that God has for them and the blessing of knowing Him more deeply.
